May 16-18, 2025 Family Camping & Campfire

LOCATION
📍 Lake Fairfax Park – Hilltop Group Campsite (space for up to 100 participants!)

Join Pack 1154 for our Spring Family Campout—a weekend full of outdoor fun, exploration, and celebration as we recognize our Scouts' hard work at the Advancement Ceremony & Campfire Program!

🏕️ Camping is optional—but the Saturday evening program is not to be missed! Whether you're camping overnight or just coming for the ceremony and campfire, all families are welcome.

Meals

  • Friday Dinner - Families eat beforehand or prepare their own. Pack will provide Campfire Smores for dessert.

  • Saturday Breakfast - Provided by the Pack.

  • Saturday Lunch - Families prepare their own, pack will provide peanut butter and jelly.

  • Dinner will be provided by the Pack. Dinner is Grilled Hotdogs, Falafels, Peppers & Onions, Fruit and Chips. Dessert is Dutch Oven Peach Dump Cake.

  • Breakfast will be Pancakes, grab and go items and fruit with Hot Chocolate and Coffee.

Friday, May 16

  • 4:00 PM: Leader Arrival

  • 4:30–7:00 PM: Family Arrival & Campsite Setup

  • 8:00–9:00 PM: Open Campfire & S'mores (provided by the Pack)

  • 9:30 PM: Lights Out

Saturday, May 17

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast (provided by Pack)

  • 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Family Free Time & Pack Activities

    • Fishing (bring your gear!)

    • Nature Exploration

    • Pack Hike (Red Trail – family friendly)

  • 12:00 PM: Additional Arrival / Camp Setup

  • 3:30–5:30 PM: Group Hike

  • 5:30–6:30 PM: Dinner (Provided by the Pack)

    • Menu: Hot Dogs, Falafels, Peppers & Onions, Fruit, Chips

    • Dessert: Dutch Oven Peach Dump Cake

  • 6:30–7:00 PM: Dinner Cleanup & Campfire Prep

  • 7:30 PM: Advancement Ceremony & Pack Meeting

  • 8:00 PM: Campfire Program (Skits, Songs & Scout Spirit!)

  • 9:00 PM: Quiet Time / Exit Park for Non-Campers

Sunday, May 18

  • 7:00–10:00 AM: Breakfast & Break Camp

    • Menu: Pancakes, Fruit, Grab-n-Go Items, Coffee & Cocoa

  • Families may explore Lake Fairfax Park as a Public Park

* If you can't make it to the hike, we still hope to see you for dinner and campfire.
